I worked out yesterday and today. I promise! I just haven’t had time to blog with the crazy work schedule. Holiday hours are not any fun.
Anyways, yesterday I did intervals for twenty five minutes. Those are getting easier, which is promising. It was back day as well. However, my body building app was not cooperative and neither was the website. I was not very happy with that but after uninstalling it and reinstalling it, it has worked just fine. I just looked up my workout plan, since I knew what day I was on.
Today was chest and abs. I did not run because I had my graduate final and found studying to be more important. It went really well and I surprised myself with my increase on weights. I’m pumped with that for sure.
Tonight my fiance forced me to open my wedding present. He’s not known for patience. I’m so excited and happy with it. It’s a Garmin Vivoactive! I’ve never really wanted anything fancy like that and have always thought it was just what the crazy fitness people used. Turns out I’m one of those people now! I don’t care, it’ll make running and working out easier. It looks odd color in the photo but it’s black.
My fiance opened his as well and he got a pair of cowboy boots. I’m slowly converting him.
So today I almost didn’t go workout. I really wanted to finish reorganizing my kitchen because it desperately needed done. My fiance and are so blessed with what everyone has given us for our marriage. By the way it is only 37 days away! Hazzah! I’ll probably have to rearrange again after the wedding but maybe not because I have a tiny bit of extra space. My reorganization took me about 4 hours, but now think about how small apartment kitchens are. I’m a slight neat freak.
Anyways back to my workout. Today was legs… Again. I feel like it’s all I do anymore but it’s my fault for doing a double workout in order to finish school work. My legs have not quite recovered from my last leg day so hopefully I can walk for school tomorrow. I mean I do have 3 flights of stairs to go up. I’ve also decided it does not matter how in shape you are those stairs will kill you. I mean the people not in shape it really kills and the rest of us are just like why. But overall my leg workout went well even though it hurts to just walk still…
For my cardio I did a 5k of course. It went well considering the place smelled like paint. I opened the window for that one. It got better as I kept going. I’m not sure if that means I got used to the smell or the window actually helped. It doesn’t really matter because it went away anyways
I know it’s been awhile, since I’ve posted. Sorry about that but school has kept me busy, busy, busy. Anyways I’ve started my new training program today! I was going to yesterday, but I guess my body wanted to sleep instead. I hear that happens when you decide you want to do morning workouts out of the blue.
Anyways, I’ve started back at it officially! I’m so excited to see where this new journey takes me. I’m still learning something new about being healthy everyday. I’ve met new friends who are super healthy and have become my new inspiration. They are willing to put up with all my crazy questions about everything, which is awesome.
As for my workout it was chest and triceps day. I’m sore already, so apparently I did something right. I’ve also incorporated interval running into my workout. It is much different than long distance running. The run shocked me a little in the beginning because I didn’t realize it would also have incline. Apparently, between everything I worked my lower abs because they are sore and it wasn’t abs day (my chest is already sore as well) .
Along those lines of things I haven’t posted… My fiance and I did a 5k on Sunday! I’m so proud of him. I’ve asked him so many times to do it with me. I always told him I would walk it with him, if he would just do it. He finally gave in and agreed!
In the beginning of the race he was like let’s jog. I went along with it but was a little worried he would have issues later on. He’s a former lineman and they really only have two speeds: sprint short distances and walk super slow the rest of the time. However, he finished the last little bit at a jog as well. Anyways, thought I’d brag on him a little.
Today’s run went well. I got in 6.5 miles in one hour. I realize that for some it is not that fast but to me it is fast enough. I am aiming for 13.1 miles so that’s fast enough. For this run I added incline for my “hills” and it added some toughness, which was good as well. Even though my run went well, I had some issues in the beginning.
I am having a tough time getting in the mental state for running this far. It seems my mind is its worse enemy. I keep thinking about how I can’t do it and how I’ll never do it. It’s dumb and I need to stop, but it’s a challenge. I’ve never been considered an athlete and one day I decided to run. So needless to say the beginning of my run I was hard on myself. Thankfully my fiance is always so encouraging and keeps me going. The end of my run went well and I felt amazing. I’m happy it did because my half marathon is this weekend! Ahhh! It’s insane to think about that but it’s here. I feel like this last month has gone by so quickly.

Hey yall! I’m back. I was on a missions trip this last week and it was a blast. Maybe on one of my days off I’ll blog about it. I ran a little bit while I was out, but not near enough.
Today was my first day running after a week off. It was challenging, but so worth it. Apparently that week off helped because I ran better than I had been. I mean I felt it and my legs definitely started to get weak. My run went well all things considered. It felt good to run again and just process everything. I’ve also stated using this protein shake to help curb carb controls. Carbs are hard for me to give up because I’m Italian and a lady. It’s a great shake because it gives me 17 grams of protein and only 100 calories. Plus it’s chocolates and you can’t go wrong there.
Tonight my fiance is taking me out on a date! It has been so long since we’ve gone on one. We were originally going to go see the Minions movie but it wasn’t on until 9pm. He does have a drive back home. He made up for it though and took me out to Red Lobster. He spoils me way to much. I’m so glad I ran over 5 miles today because those biscuits are delicious, however I did manage to limit myself to only 2 biscuits. I ate some amazing salmon, rice pilaf, and broccoli. Everything was amazing.
