Yesterday I was a slacker and didn’t lift weights. It war gorgeous outside and I couldn’t stay in that long. I also ran outside and it was fantastic!
I haven’t run outside in ages, which also meant I wore my dog out. Let me tell you that’s a challenge to do that puppy is full of energy. Anyways my run went well, even though she pushed me quicker in the beginning than I planned. I also had all the elderly people try to talk to me as I was trying to run. Some had dogs and others didn’t. But all I’m saying is that if your dog is aggressive towards other dogs maybe muzzle it or put the yellow flag on its leash.
Today I did actually work out. It was arms and abs day. My abs hate me but mainly my arms hate me. I used the 20 pound dumbell for pretty much everything. I was nervous to take it off the rack because that’s where the guys always get their dumbells. It’s only 20 pounds and above. Anyways on another great note, I got to run outside again. My pace was more consistent this time. My pup was a little more worn out today. It was so much fun and I’ve missed it immensely. When winter really comes I’m going to be sad but happy because it means I’ll probably be married.
So today was leg day. Yay! I’m so just kidding. I also used my new garmin vivoactive for the first time. I didn’t completely use it correctly because it took me a little bit to realize how to actually start the thing. I ran for over a little half an hour and felt alright about it. I’m not sure what got over me but I didn’t feel like it was a decent run. At one point I became positive it was just my mind getting to me. But I’ve been consistent all week with working out this week. The last few weeks have been crazy so it really messed with my schedule.
Leg day, oh leg day. It went really well. I’ll be not walking tomorrow but that’s OK. A girl saw me start in on lunges and was like hey you wanna walk lunges around the track with me. She didn’t want to do it by herself. I could tell she was a straight up jock. Don’t get me wrong, I know a lot of jocks and they are amazing people. However, some are crazy shallow and focused on themselves. It was interesting to workout with someone.
I worked out yesterday and today. I promise! I just haven’t had time to blog with the crazy work schedule. Holiday hours are not any fun.
Anyways, yesterday I did intervals for twenty five minutes. Those are getting easier, which is promising. It was back day as well. However, my body building app was not cooperative and neither was the website. I was not very happy with that but after uninstalling it and reinstalling it, it has worked just fine. I just looked up my workout plan, since I knew what day I was on.
Today was chest and abs. I did not run because I had my graduate final and found studying to be more important. It went really well and I surprised myself with my increase on weights. I’m pumped with that for sure.
Tonight my fiance forced me to open my wedding present. He’s not known for patience. I’m so excited and happy with it. It’s a Garmin Vivoactive! I’ve never really wanted anything fancy like that and have always thought it was just what the crazy fitness people used. Turns out I’m one of those people now! I don’t care, it’ll make running and working out easier. It looks odd color in the photo but it’s black.
My fiance opened his as well and he got a pair of cowboy boots. I’m slowly converting him.
So today was a double day because homework and work prevented me from working out yesterday. Darn school. It’s only going to get worse to.
My workouts were legs, chest, and abs. My chest I’ll feel tomorrow and hopefully my abs as well. Legs however are a different story. My gym is in the second level and I walked like a drunk person after words. I’m not sure what was up with today’s workout but it was crazy. I think it’s because their was a combination of low weight high rep workout and hight weight low rep. I mean it makes sense. I also ran a 5k this morning. It went well considering it’s like 80 degrees in that fitness center.

So I was a slacker last week for lifting. Between the crazy insane schedule of black Friday and working thanksgiving, everything went a little crazy. I did manage to get some runs in though. It really stinks when you have to work thanksgiving.
As for working out earlier this week it didn’t happen either. I only had a chance to run. It went alright all things considered. Monday I didn’t do anything because my fiance and I ended up doing errands. Managed to get our marriage license application notarized, so go us!
Today I did workout and I ran. My run went really well even though some older, larger guy with way to much cologne decided to join me. That made it a little strange and awkward but I got through. The only bad part about having someone in there with me is, I’m pretty certain they thought I was dying. I did intervals for half an hour. Generally when I go half an hour for intervals I tend to be sweating profusely and I’m breathing hard. I mean that’s part of working out and doing something but still when people can hear you, it’s awkward.
My weight lifting has increased to six days a week. I’ll be having a few double days this week. Oh well, tough life. It was back day today, which I was not to impressed with. My back is crazy sore from who knows what and then I worked it today. There was one guy who gave me judging looks the whole time I used the hyperextension. I already just got over the fear of using that.
